Absolute high class djembe with cow skin

This master class djembe is amazing in sound and design entirely made by master sculptors of Guinea, West Africa. Quality of raw materials used is guaranteed and the best local percussionists did the assembly.

Custom design. Top upper rim is flat and well rounded to ensure comfort for playing.

The wood is treated by shea butter, also known as Karité, in traditional way. After finishing the body got polished (outside) and treated with multiple coats of wood oil.

Djembe wood: This djembe got carved out of hardwood, in this case lenke (Afzelia africana).

Djembe skin: With, spotted cow skin, wet shaved. Skin got processed wich removes any potential problems.

Djembe metal rings: The stainless steel rings are 8mm strong and have a good weld. All rings are custom fitted very tight.

Djembe rope: 5.5mm custom djembepolyester rope for the verticals and 4mm black rope as double cow hitches with two strands for the loops.

Djembe steem: Carvings made by Younoussa Sylla are decorating the steem. To preserve the edge of the steem there is finally a glued rubber bottom.
