Master djembe Guinea

Absolute high class djembe made of dugara wood

This master class djembe is amazing in sound and design entirely made by master sculptors of Guinea, West Africa. Quality of raw materials used is guaranteed and the best local percussionists did the assembly.

Custom design. Top upper rim is flat and well rounded to ensure comfort for playing.

The wood is treated by shea butter, also known as karité, in traditional way. After finishing, the body got polished (outside) and treated with multiple coats of wood oil.

Djembe wood: this djembe got carved out of hardwood, in this case dugara wood (Cordyla africana.

Djembe skin: very strong goat skin from Mali, wet shaved. Skin got processed wich removes any potential problems. Twisted skin finish.

Djembe metal rings: The stainless steel rings have a diameter of 8mm and also have a good weld. The flesh ring is made of 8mm riffle steel. All rings are custom fitted very tight.

Djembe rope: 4.5mm 16-strand custom drum rope made of polyester for the verticals in grey color. The rings got double cow hitches with two ropes made of 4mm djembe rope in black and grey.

Djembe feet: glued rubber bottom on it's steem.
